Evaluation Process

Gifted Assessment: The assessment process begins with a sixty-minute session, where Catherine will meet with you to better understand your child’s background and administer the appropriate IQ test to your child in a conducive environment. You will receive the test results immediately and the official test report within two weeks.

Psycho-Educational Evaluation: The evaluation process consists of three to five sessions. During the first session, you will meet with Catherine to discuss the reason for the referral and provide background information on your child’s developmental and school history. Next, your child will be examined in one to three testing sessions. Lastly, you will meet with Catherine within two weeks after the final testing session where you will receive a comprehensive report and review its results in detail. A feedback session with your child’s school staff or teacher is available upon request.

The following are the most common types of psycho-educational evaluations: Special Education, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Early Kindergarten Readiness, Standardized Testing Accommodations, ADHD and Emotional/Behavioral Disability.
